I am moving from my 2013 Mac Book Pro with Mojave and FCP 10.4.8 to a new Mac Pro M2. Final Cut does not want move. I cannot upgrade the old Mac as the OS is too hold according to FCP. On the new M2 Apple App store does not recognize my APPLE ID as it has changed a couple of times. Do I have to purchase a new copy? Ideas?

You need to update FCP on Mojave to 10.4.10. That version will run on the current OS.

If you do not have access to the Apple ID that was used to purchase the application, you might be able to get App Store support to transfer it to your current Apple ID. If not you would have to repurchase it.

Great thanks. My current version is fine for me so upgrading to 10.4.10 if fine. Do you know where I might find a safe download? Richard
