Automation: Send export to different application? was created by FinalCutdown
Is it possible to create an automation on macos to send an export with certain presets from FXPC to a different (non apple) application? For example I would like to automatically export a wav file and import it into a loudness-meter app with the push of a button? Is this possible in FCPx or Automator?

if you export from FCP can’t you set the Open with function to select your application?

Thanks for your help, do you mean in finder or in fcpx. I cant find it in FCPx but I still have version 10.5.4, so maybe the feature is not availabe there. Good to know if its possible in newer versions.

Thanks a lot! I was looking under "compessor settings" not file export. my mistake. Unfortunately my loudness tool supports only drag and drop, not open with.. But still FCPx is able to open the tool after export, so its just two klicks more.
