Hello,
Fcp 10.6.5 / macOS Monterey 12,6,4 / Intel Mac
a bunch of MXF (OP-1a) from a Sony FS7 XAVC Intra (AVC (Hight 2:2:2 Intra@L5,1)
Importing and ... FcpX won't swing them in a .mov container ! Copies them as .mxf even in Library
Not the best container to edit. (I wish not to transcode ProRes everything)
is this a version bug ?

More recent versions of FCP seem to handle more variants of MXF-wrapped files. If it isn't re-wrapping the files, then FCP natively supports it.
You could always re-wrap the files with something like EditReady...

yes I could rewrap ...
unless somebody garanties me mxf are equals to .mov in fcp now... I have to test if the work is fluid.
