Have a look at this video:

Can you tell me how the graphics were created: in FCP or with plug-ins? Also how were the floorpans animated?

Some of that could be done fairly easily with plugins in FCP, but the animation on the floor plan and complex lower third suggests these gfx were likely done in AfterEffects.

EDIT: A template/plugin for FCP could be easily built in Motion for the lower third, and there might be a way to do the floor plan with Motion.  Now I'm curious.

Thanks for the reply. Post back if you find out about the floorpan.

There are various real estate plugins and templates for FCP, e.g, mReal Estate by MotionVFX:  www.motionvfx.com/store,mreal-estate,p3828.html

Re the floorplan, the first step is getting the data. You don't want to use a ruler and pen :)

There are various floor plan apps for iOS. Some use the iPhone's built-in LiDAR scanner. Example: RoomScan Pro:  apps.apple.com/us/app/roomscan-pro-lidar...r-plans/id1504050801

Once you have the  floorplan, the next step would be edit and scale that until it looks OK for the presentation. Whether that was edited in the original app, in Adobe Illustrator or Photoshop, I don't know.

Then you'd probably add it on a layer above the video and do some type of Alpha transition or blend. That implies the iOS app producing the floorplan would have the ability to produce a line art version with a transparent background. If not there are methods with Photoshop to separate the line art from the white background:

The floorplan in the above video looks like an animated drawing but I don't know if was really drawn or if that was just a transition effect. There are various types of 3rd-party transitions. Some of those could probably make it look like the floorplan was brushed on or appeared in various artistic ways:  www.motionvfx.com/store?q=transitions&focused_prod=2485&page=1

Sorry, I don't have any experience with these, maybe others have better advice.

Motion (49$) offers a so-called WriteOn Behavior, which allows to let lines 'grow'... but, to be honest, I wouldn't dare to paint a complex floor-plan within Motion… look for plug-ins.

Instead of looking for plugins or spending a lifetime in Motion try something simple that'll take maybe 30 minutes for something this complicated. I did this for animating hand writing a title and start to finish something like 15 minutes. (This wasn't done in FCP with masking or key framing but with the Graphic Converter app.)

Start with what's to be the final image.

Duplicate. Erase a bit of the tail end. Duplicate image.

Erase again the previously shortened end. Keep doing this until there's no image at all remaining. Reverse sort. Place into timeline. Adjust image duration either at the clip level
or compound clip things and adjust timing that way.

You could go mental over things and introduce motion blur between the clips or use an airbrush type erase over the hard lines to soften the flow a bit but nobody's looking that closely at the effect on a frame by frame basis other than another editor trying to understand how the effect was accomplished.
