The real challenge will be re-imagining shot composition, and some shots just won't work the way you intended.

Thanks for that information I have another question
now I recorded some footage at this Barber Expo last week and my Panasonic X1000 was set to 4K 4096x3112 60p Apple ProRes 422 HQ. But when I load it to FCPX after changing the format to Vertical I still get the Bars top and bottom and it's not filling up the Vertical screen on Social Media like Instagram, TikTok. Is there a way to zoom it in without loosing half the clip? or do I need change my record settings in the camera next time? I did use the stabilizer feature to get the shake out and smooth out footage. What record format should I set it to on my X1000? I feel like Im not gonna get what I want with the way I recorded the footage.
Thanks

FCP has a Spatial Conform option in the Effects inspector (at the bottom of the column). Switch that from Fit (the default) to Fill.
