I will be departing for a foreign country in May and would like to use my iPhone 13 ProMax to shoot video, however, all of my exterior test footage is overexposed when downloaded into FCP-X. When played back in the iPhone it looks normal. Is an ND filter necessary or am I missing something? Thanks for your assistance.

Sounds like you're shooting in HDR and putting it into a standard FCP library, not one set to wide gamut in library properties. If you don't need to shoot HDR, you should switch that off in iPhone Settings.

Thanks Tom. You have always been most helpful over the years. I am a retired network staff photojournalist now 90. My wife and I are continuing to travel until we drop. I want to leave our family with high quality videos of our adventures.
