XAVC import issue with black frames

XAVC import issue with black frames was created by BStoddard

Upon import from a Sony XAVC (MXF) SD card, FCP 10.6.5 shows only black frames with audio. This just started with Monterey update and software update shows no additional Pro Video Formats downloads. WTF?

I've imported vast amounts of Sony 4k/23.98 XAVC-I MXF material from an FX6 and it has always worked OK in FCP. That includes Monterey 12.6.3 and Ventura 13.2.1 on various Apple Silicon machines.

What camera is your material from and what codec? Can you copy it to a hard disk and try importing from there?

Thanks for your feedback. We have also imported this format without issue until a system re-install. I am looking into reinstalling Pro Video Formats.
