Exporting audio channels was created by jaapvw

When I sent an exported item to the company, it is important that the Number of audio channels do not exceed 4 channels. However, when I see on my timeline 1 audiochannel. After exporting a MXF file, and bringing this file back on my timeline, I can see 8 audiochannels. But on the footage I imported in FCPX there are only 4 audiochannels. What is happening? And what is the best workflow to export an item with no more then 4 audio channels?
