Hello, all. I've been using FCP X on my old MacBook Pro for several years, then finally had to buy a new MacBook when mine got too old. Do I need to buy new software for my new computer, or can I somehow transfer from my old one that no longer has updates or anything useful? Has anyone else gone through this? Would like to save $$$ if I can just use my original FCP. Thanks for any advice or suggestions.

Just download it from the App Store using the Apple ID that originally was used to purchase it. Download from your purchased page not the FCP page.
