M2 Max Macbook Pro keep crashing my FCPX 10.6.5

I just got the brand new M2 Max MBP 14", just open the previous project working on my office's Mac Studio. but it keep crash when I double click the working project timeline, but it has no problem if I create the new project. Is anyone have to same problem ?

This is possibly not the M2 Max but it shipped with Ventura; you may be now running Ventura 13.2. There are some significant issues with FCP on that version. If so it is not unique to M2 Max or Apple Silicon in general; it also happens on Intel.

You can verify whether it's that specific problem by examining the FCP crash log. That can be accessed by running the Console app, clicking "Crash Reports" in the left sidebar and then click on "Final Cut Pro" in the middle. The bottom pane then displays the crash info.

Those logs are also in  ~/Library/Logs/DiagnosticReports which you can reach by typing or copy/paste that into Finder after doing menu Go>Go to Folder. The crash files are .ips but can be displayed by Quick Look -- select them in finder and hit the space bar.

What you look for are several repetitive calls to this function: -[NSView _informContainerThatSubviewsNeedUpdateConstraints]

If that is your issue, it is typically caused by having lots of clips in a single event. A possible temporary workaround is reducing the number of clips per event to less than 300.

Thx for your advice, after that I created a new library to edit my video (actually is a easy job, put the different language wording PNG over a single video clip), it is fine in 1080p, but when I doing that on 750x1624 size video, some png will display black and the render circle on the left upper size show flicker, the FCP not crash but no respond even I export the video.

Too many bugs on it.
