Awesome in motion effect

There is an awesome effect that they use to allow the presenter to then interact with the drag race, where he gets out of the moving car in motion.

I've thought about using a green screen, etc... but I just can't see how they've achieved the effect. Any pointers much appreciated.

It'd be helpful if you specified just WHERE in the video it happens. (This edit style is too cliche & irritating for me to watch to have to guess what you're referencing.)

Its at 3:55 seconds, as he leaves the door of the moving Rivan... he also will do the same at 4mins 19seconds jogging alongside the Porsche whilst its inflight

That's no 'effect', but plain old cut & practicals: He's leaving the car and jog aside it when the cars drive very slow - easy like that

What an effect is, when Bruce Willis leaves driving car!!
