How do you easy find "missing or offline titles, effects, generators, or media"? was created by tigerdyr13
Hi.
I often have "Projects" (timelines) with the yellow warning icon that means it has "... missing media or offline titles, effects, generators, or media."
The problem is, that often it is not apparent what is missing - and FCP doesn't help me to point out which specifically is missing.
Is there a way to make it tell me what is missing - and not just that something is missing?eneverha

For finding missing media, here is a method by Larry Jordan:

Sometimes that yellow warning triangle appears even when nothing seems to to be missing and the project plays as expected. I think it is something to do with missing effects or generators that the project is not actually using. I have had it when I started editing on one Mac and then copied the Library over to another Mac.
If you can't find anything that is missing from a project one fix that sometimes works is to make a new blank project with exactly the same settings and copy and paste the whole timeline into this new project. That can clear the triangle. (But do not delete the original project just in case...)
