Alrighty, we got a biggg problem. I have a My Passport WD 4TB hard drive that decided now would be a fine time to not show up. Never had a problem with it before. I've tried a couple of different USB-C to USB ports, tried taking in and out the cords, but nothing is working. I can't even get any info on it from Disk Utility because it doesn't even show up as being unmounted.
I have a whole lotta stuff on there that I need. How can I get it to work, preferably without Disk Drill?
Thanks,

Have you tried plugging it into another computer to see if it is recognized?
Sometimes that works.
Just be careful not to reformat the drive if the computer asks.
Do you know what file system the drive is formatted as?
I have had a similar problem once with drive that used an ExFat filesystem (I needed cross platform compatibility). I had been rendering to it from a laptop that got unplugged and ran out of power. The mac refused to recognize the drive afterwards.
Just plugging it into a windows machine fixed the drive. Windows is much better at fixing ExFat problems.
