LoupeDeck Live - how useful is it was created by pszilard
Today, I was given a LoupeDe. ck Live box to evaluate it for FCP usage. The standard macros are very basic, however the LoupeDeck Live hardware could be very useful, with the right macros and functions. I have tried Google to find some better profiles, but I thought I would ask here to see if anyone can make any recommendations or useful comments.

I use a Loupedeck+ primarily for color grading using wheel and occasionally other functions. I find the dials much easier to use than the mouse.

Did you do any customisation, or just use the downloaded profile?

I changed some of the dial and button functions around so that the ones I use the most when color grading are all close together. The Loupedeck+ takes up a lot of desk space, it is bigger than my Apple Extended Keyboard. When I bought it the other models were not available.

I wonder which of the LoupeDeck products would be the best to use. The + has most buttons and knobs, but no configurable button displays, the Live is small and has LCD buttons and the CT adds an extra 12 buttons and a rotary control to the Live. (I wouldn't consider the S).
Overall, do you find that your LoupeDeck+ is a worthwhile tool? Do you use it with any other program?

The + works well for me. I think each user has to figure out which would be the best for them to use. I do know that the + software has not been updated as often as the other devices. They currently have a beta version, 5.4.1.x that is compatible with the +. The version I am running is 5.1.0.x. The versions between these two were not compatible with the +.
The CT and the Live with their displays and changability are cool, have a lot more functionality and work with more programs than I use. The folks at Loupedeck seem to have moved most the hardware sliders and buttons from the + into the electronics of the CT and Live to get smaller devices.
The configuration of the + can be changed through the app by using the Custom Mode and Function button.
The only other software that I use it with is Lightroom. Again this is primarily for the color correction. I find the dials give me finer control that I can get with a mouse.
