New to FCP - How can I easily sync pictures to the beat of a song?

I like making simple Instagram reels using my photography photos and short videos. How can I easily sync up the moment the pictures transition (just normal cut transition) to the beat of a song? I've been individually slicing the photos at the beats but that takes a lot of time and there's a lot of room for error. Is there a more simple way of doing this?

aside fully auto mode with plug-ins (which gives sub, too 'static' results, imho), google spits out several tutorials to the topic 'FCPX edit to the beat' ....
