Color Profile

Hi,

anybody know what the Color Profile FCPX applies to certain clips is and wether it can be changed? ( I am talking about the metadata that can be found in the Extended view of the Inspector).

Thank you

The "Color Profile HD 1-1-1" are actually NCLC metadata tags in the video file. This is a complex, confusing issue about how those are written and how they are interpreted downstream. There's a lot of conflicting discussion on various forums about this. Iain Anderson recently wrote a good article about it here:  www.provideocoalition.com/understanding-color-management/

There is some info for app developers on Apple's developer site:  developer.apple.com/documentation/avfoun...eo_color_information Z

Thank you. I'll probably come back to this in a few days as I have to do some tests.
