I guess all the Blackmagic Camera Users already left FCP for Resolve.

Resolve? No way!
I’ve used FCP since the first Legacy release right up to current version. Whenever I’ve tried any other editor they just don’t work for me. It’s like reeling in a nice trout vs hauling in an old tire!
This does look interesting and I’ll probably give it a try but I still get good pictures and get paid while shooting Pro-Res on my BMPCC 6K Pro, so there’s no real point in changing that I can see.

We have a couple of BMPCC 6K Pros and we generally use FCP to edit our footage shot with FILM log in ProRes 422HQ. We use Resolve when we film in BRAW just to color grade and then export individual clips in ProRes for editing in FCP. Occasionally we will complete an entire project in Resolve, but the editor is still clunky compared to FCP and we can edit much quicker in FCP. We also have the Color Finale Transcoder which allows BRAW files to be viewed in the Transcoder UI in FCP and then imported from there - so this new BRAW Toolbox seems to be pretty much the same thing with maybe some additional features. I'll be happy to test it out and see if it's an improvement over Color Finale Transcoder.

Out of curiosity, I don't have cameras that record in BRAW, but isn't it better Editready to transcode to ProRes?

Just to be clear, this is NOT transcoding BRAW to ProRes. It's direct BRAW editing in FCP. Certain features on BMD cameras can only be used in BRAW. That includes slow motion and well as recording in 6K.
The problem with transcoding first is that sometimes, during the progress of the editing, you may want to change the BRAW settings. With, transcoders you'd have to go back and transcode again. Also there's time involved in transcoding and the generation of more, large files. Direct imports should save time and significant disk space as well.
This Tool Box is probably closer to what was done for Premiere Pro, not Color Finale Transcoder. The Tool Box is not a Transcoder according to the developer.

Editready works but in my experience the converted ProRes file has some contrast and gamma differences that seem to be different from exporting the Braw files to ProRes directly from Resolve. Color finale transcoder also has this issue but has other adjustment options to deal with the Braw file. It’s also not perfect. If Cseeman is correct about native braw import into FCP without transcoding, the new Braw Toolbox could definitely be a game changer.Out of curiosity, I don't have cameras that record in BRAW, but isn't it better Editready to transcode to ProRes?

Do you have a timeline for Mac App Store or other delivery/acquisition methods?

Thanks for this Chris. It looks really good. Is there any documentation anywhere on how to work with? I can only find screenshots in GitHub.
Thanks again.
