[Disk Space] FCPX Effects, Titles and Generators folders was created by Teppy
Dear all,
after a lot of years using FCPX (from its first release), now I have a lot of sounds effects, titles, generators etc.
"Yesterday" I was working with an iMac 2013 with 3tb of local disk (Fusion Drive).
"Today" I have a new MacBook Pro M1 Max with 512gb of local disk (SSD).
Installing FCPX on this new machine, I copied my sound effects for video editing and I start to install my effects, titles, and so on. It takes a lot of disk space. Too much disk space.
So I was thinking to work in a different way.
I have an external drive, a samsung SSD T7 1Tb on USB-C cable. I copied on it my FCPX Library.
Inside it, I saw that is present a "content folder" called Motion Templates like it is on my video folder on my local drive.
Is possible to move all my effects from the local folder to the external FCPX Library?
If I can do it, looking on a big editing... can I edit my videos using this configuration:
1) FCPX Installed on my Macbook;
2) every effect, title, generator, etc moved on the external library over the external SSD Disk;
3) Use another external disk (5tb on usb 3.0) with original media to be used on my project and rendering files too?
