So I have a long video that I'd like to export to a Blu-ray. So in Compressor I have a preset for exactly what I want it do to, and I have added that "destination" in Final Cut Pro for export. This makes a .264 file which is then used in Adobe Encore, an app that Adobe graciously stopped supporting (bless them). I begin export using that destination, and FCP suddenly freezes, hangs, becomes completely unresponsive and must be force-quit. Other "destinations" I export to that I have set up in Compressor continue to work fine. I can of course export a ProRes 422 and then encode that in Compressor itself, but that not only adds time but also a generation loss (ProRes isn't lossless).
