Any experience with M1 Max Studio? was created by lukeyo

Hi, looking to build a new edit set up, with the Mac Studio.

Currently available options where I live are 32 core with 512gb SSD or 24 Core with 1TB SSD

Would obviously prefer the larger SSD, and not sure what the benefit is for fcpx having 32 cores over 24... anyone know?

Thanks!

Here with MacStudio M1 ultra SSD 1TB. For video applications (especially if it's 4K video) you will need more storage. I have got an external OWC thunderbay 4 bay with SSD4TB in RAID0. FCPX performance in Mac Studio is superb. I don’t know what was your previous Mac computer, but I think that you should see a notable increase with respect to Intel models
