Archiving Options for Long Takes was created by beauhaan@beauhaan.com
So it seems like the options for reducing Library sizes with multiple long takes, as well as multi-cam or compound clips doesn’t offer much solutions beyond Arc-X and Worx4.
I love the idea of reducing the original files to a more manageable size, especially when shooting in ProRes, so I had an idea but wanted to run it by you all…
What if:
1. Finish editing and publish
2. Create or add to the Project’s timeline at the tail-end with ALL of my favorited takes from each clip
3. Export that at the highest resolution possible, maybe even removing titles and transitions
Basically, I’d be left with the final edit, all of the useable clips, and all of the different angles but as a ProRes file—cleaning up drive space.
Does this make any sense or am I losing my mind over here?!
