Time discrepancy

Hello.I just finished editing a live concert DVD of my band on FCPX. The total running time is 1:53:14.When I rendered audio only for surround sound mixing, the total audio running time is 1:53:21. Exactly 7 seconds longer. The timings I marked for chapters on the last three songs in the video are different than those in the audio. I tried rendering in different formats (mp3, wav, and aiff) and got the same result. Strangely, when I drop the rendered audio file (the one that’s 7 seconds longer) into the FCp session and lay it under the audio and video, it still lines up perfectly. I'm baffled as to why this is happening. Has anyone experienced this issue who can offer advice? Thank you.

What's the frame rate of the project? Is it 29.97 or 59.94? Are you using drop frame?

I'm going to go with drop frame timecode too. The frame labeling difference between the two would be about 204 frames, or just under 7 seconds.

Thank you. How would I change that?

Drop frame? You can change that in the project properties. ⌘ J.

But I don't think you can change the frame rate of a project if it already has media in it.
I'd first check to see what the FCP project frame rate is set to and what the audio editor is set to. Maybe the audio editor is set to drop-frame and reporting a different number.
