Match Color Bug? FCPX 10.0.3

I am trying to use match color in FCP X 10.0.3
unsuccessfully!!!

I see that, but if you click anyway, the color grade is still there and gets match properly. I find it sometimes does and sometimes doesn't show the grade applied in the preview, but it's the preview only, the grade is still there.

Match color feature does not work with already graded clips. Use copy paste or preset function for grades.

Hi, don't know if this is of any use but I can't replicate the behaviour you are experiencing.
I did the same thing and all went smooth. 1080p footage in 10.0.3. However, neither preview strip updated in the storyline but crucially did show in the main canvas.

I can grade and then match to grade without issue. Perhaps I'm misunderstanding what you are meaning.

Or maybe I was missunderstaning... I've always thought that Match Color does not take in count the grades made with the Color Board but only the "raw" ungraded image color.

I just checked and yes I was wrong! Sorry! The bad thing is that Match color does not update the color board settings on the matched clip in any way.

Yep, that's the drawback, is that the controls in Color Correction panes don't go to those positions, but you still have the "look". The single and only thing I've never liked about FCP X is the stupid color board and idiotic color correction controls.

If you do get a color grade you like in a clip, save it as a Preset, then apply that Preset to other clips, as an alternative.

Copy and paste works well, too, but only if you don't have other adjustments you do not want brought over. Let's hope we have Paste Attributes back in the next update, just like with legacy FCP. But I honestly think that unscientific, unintuitive, ridiculous color board was a HUGE mistake.
