Audio sync issue when sharing libraries between Apple Silicon and Intel Mac was created by WardstarDave
Anyone else had an audio sync issue when sharing libraries between Apple Silicon and Intel Macs?
Had a number of interview cut downs done on the Apple M1 Max laptop then the library was shared with me for the edit, but I'm on an Intel iMac Pro. All the cutdowns done on the Apple Silicon Macs have an audio delay of 1-2 secs. Only way I've found to easily sort it, is to take each clip back to browsers and reinsert.
Anyone else had the same issue?
Best

I do this regularly with my machines and haven't seen this behavior.
Is there anything unusual about the footage or project setup?

Nothing unremarkable about anything. 4k 10 bit MP4 footage, 4k project with multicams used for the two camera shoot. The multi cams are in sync, but the footage in the timeline is not. This, however, would be the first time we've shared the library with the footage consolidated within, just handing a drive over. Usually, the footage stays outside the library, as that makes it easier to share remotely, with a copy of the footage in each location.

Strange. What are your frame rates for:
1. Cam A
2. Cam B
3. your multicam clips
4. your timeline
Is it safe to assume this problem doesn't manifest itself on the M1, and only on the iMac Pro? I'm wondering what you'd see if you take the affected Library and move it back to the laptop to see if it persists.
