Hello everyone.  I am looking for some guidance as I am struggling a bit with on how to setup a good, efficient workflow for this project.I am creating an eLearning course that consists of several modules and each module has a talking head on a white BG.This has been filmed on a green screen and I am receiving 1 raw video per module. Each module has several slides, and I need 1 clip per slide to be able to import into the eLearning software. All the workflows I see are the opposite of what I need, ie.  putting a lot of smaller clips into one timeline.  I need to to the opposite.  I have a bigger video and need to split into smaller clips but they already have all the basic editing (like colour and audio) done.  So, for each module of this course, I need to do something like this:
  1. Import the long video for the Module.
  2. Apply effects (keying, colour and audio correction, etc)
  3. Add the solid white BG.
  4. Then, I need to split this 40min video into individual clips that will match each slide (approx 20~30 Clips)
  5. Then do more fine editing inside each clip individually (adding fades-in/fades-out for video and audio,  sometimes hide video completely, while the voice keeps talking, or remove some parts of the clip, etc..)
The end product will be 20~30 individual clips per module. I started splitting the main clip already edited, and then creating compound clips, from the main timeline but struggling a bit with the concept of compund clips and not sure if this is the best way to do this.  For example, if I add the solid white BG in the main clip, then I can't do the fade in/out in the clips as it will fade to black... unless I add a new white solid in the clip itself... So I thought, maybe I don't add the solid to the main clip and just do it for every clip, which seems very repetitive... anyway... Just thinking maybe someone more experienced can share a similar workflow for best efficiency :) Thank you!PS:  Attaching a sample image to illustrate my idea.  My project will be on a white BG, and things will be popping in and out of the screen as the presenter talks.

One quick note about your fades inside the compound clips - if you right-click on the transition itself, you'll likely see the option to 'Transition to/from Black' checked. You should get the behavior you expect by unchecking that option in the compound.
