Replace Clip With Imbedded Transitions

Replace Clip With Imbedded Transitions was created by scoostraw
I have another noobie question..
I am having difficulty replacing a clip with another, when the existing clip has transitions already in place. I find that when I drag the new clip into place, it blows up the transitions and makes a mess of the timeline.
Am I approaching this incorrectly? Should I remove the transitions first? Or is there another way?

Did you sort this out already?
Using some form of the Replace command shouldn't affect the transitions applied to the clip in the timeline that you want to replace.

Hi Dave. Thanks for the reply.
That's what I thought also. I will play with it a bit.
