DAW Bridge for Final Cut Pro... was created by DaveM
While looking at the Audio Design Desk website, I stumbled across something called "DAW Bridge for Final Cut Pro". More info here (after selecting "DAW Bridge for Final Cut Pro" from the pop-up menu that says "ADD Audio Bridge for Final Cut Pro"):
add.app/workflows-fcp/
DAW Bridge for FCP is available for ~$60 on the App Store:
apps.apple.com/us/app/dawbridge/id1620198313?mt=12
It seems like the "bridge" uses MIDI capabilities built into macOS.
It's supposed to work with Logic Pro, Pro Tools, Cubase, Reaper, etc.
It'd be cool if someone could check it out and report back here (or write an article?). It might be helpful if people post their questions here, which could help with whomever may report back about using DAW Bridge for FCP...

When I try to export the audio to Logic Pro and, after editing, import it back to Final Cut, there is an awful clipping of the sound that isn't there in Logic Pro.

I've been using it and it's pretty good - but has a few annoying pains.
Firstly, you can't hear the audio from both timelines, only the Logic (or other DAW) timeline when they are sync'd. You have to 'unsync' in order to play the audio from Final Cut again.
Secondly - You can't slave Logic to FCP - only the other way around.
Lastly - it's a bit flakey - with occasions when the timelines seem to get stuck and playback isn't smooth. This is on an M1 Max MBP using a second monitor.
It has promise, but clearly could do with a bit more robust work on syncing between the two. Perhaps instead FCP could offer Ableton Link (which is now supported in Logic) rather than using MTC which promises to be more designed for multi app sync (as well as network sync).

Just not sure why this would actually be useful...
To hear both timelines ( ie all the audio ) you need a reference track exported from FCP anyway... just export a full ProRes Proxy reference clip and use that in the DAW.
Plus I'm not entirely convinced that MTC is the best way to sync audio and picture ...
