Import external sound library was created by Jommnn
I want to import external sound effects in the FCP Sound Effects Library. I strictly followed the manual and copied the files to the Final Cut Pro Sound Effects Library.

But the files only show up when I change the extension from .wav to .caf. It's extremly strange!

Open FCP again doesn't help
Restart doesn't help
Resetting FCP Preferences doesn't help

Any ideas?

Use feedback to report the problem. Hopefully it will be fixed in the next release.

While this does work, I'm not telling my system that these .wavs are 64-bit Core Audio files. Because they're not. This is a workaround for a recent bug.

Please use the feedback mechanism available to get Apple to fix it.
