I have a project with 2 different 10second promos in it. Both consist of my edit audio along with the final mixed audio. My usual procedure when exporting maters out is I turn off all the roles except the one designated as "Mixed" The first spot exported just fine just as I do multiple times a day. The second spot keeps including the turned off roles. I deleted the unused roles and it exports fine. What would cause this one spot to behave this way. I tried moving it to another section of the timeline, copy pasted into a new project. Oh and the spot plays completely correct in the project.

A wild guess... have you tried changing the affected clips to another role and then back?

Why don’t you just select the role you want to export in the export module?

I haven't. I'll give that try tomorrow.

That's exactly what I'm doing. I'm selecting the Role Mixed but all the other roles are coming through. in the same projects the first spot is nearly identical and I'm performing the same procedure and it comes out fine.

Might not be possible in your personal case but why not duplicate the project and delete unwanted roles for export as a quick workaround?
