This is what I'm dreaming of...e.g.
I have two dozen still images of student artwork. They want a basic slideshow with music under. Each image file is titled with the Students name. I'd like to lay down a generic lower third for each image in the timeline, then have the title layer pull the name from the file title. Or at least maybe pull from an external text file, xls, or cvs, maybe?
Is this possible. Seems like you can do something like that in AE with expressions.
Maybe an xls import? Just dreaming...

I guess I'll answer my own question. Ran across this little gem of an app. Translates captions to text layers and vice versa.

You could convert a list of supers to a caption file, then import that into FCP!
