Apple Updates Final Cut Pro X
Apple released Final Cut Pro X v10.0.3, a significant update that introduces:
* Multicam editing that automatically syncs up to 64 angles of video and photos
* Advanced chroma keying for handling complex adjustments right in the app
* Enhanced XML interchange for developers to build apps and plug-ins as part of the Final Cut Pro X ecosystem
Final Cut Pro X v10.0.3 also includes a broadcast monitoring beta that supports both Thunderbolt devices and PCIe cards.
Visit the Final Cut Pro X Software Update page for more information on the Final Cut Pro X software update. Visit the Final Cut Pro Sales Resource Page on ASW for updated First Looks and an updated Product Presentation. New demo content will be available by the end of February.

Ben, any word from the Beta testing team on stability?

Hope others here will update projects and report how stable it is, but my initial thought is that it shouldn't really be an issue.
Motion and Compressor updates online now, too.
And don't forget the $5 "7toX" app in the Mac App Store!!!!!!
Thank you Philip!!!!!!

One thing to be careful with is in Multicam. It is a Parent and Child paradigm. Meaning any changes made in the Angle Editor in either a timeline or in the Event Browser it is applied across all. So it is best to duplicate your Multicam clip and then work off of one and you have a clean version to go back to if you ever need to for a different sequence (compound clip) I have a video tutorial up sometime tonight showing why this is important.

As for size, hell, just do it. Who really cares how long it takes? Seriously, let it run overnight if you have to.

Never saw the need to upgrade to 7 until it was too late.

"It’s untested with V6 FCP but it should work. Speed changes may be an issue, but otherwise, no problem."
