Where to see duration of In / Out on source clip?

Where to see duration of In / Out on source clip? was created by daveditor
I see where the duration between In and Out on the Timeline is above the Timeline next to the project name, but I don't see the duration anywhere of the source clip between In / Out. What's the deal? Is this something I'm missing?

A clip in the browser? It’s at the bottom of the browser or in columns in list view.

Thank you. Somehow I was just missing seeing that.

Here's another somewhat related question you might be able to answer. When entering a number in to backtime in the source window it seems to affect the outpoint line, not the in or the skimmer line. Usually, let's say on Premiere, I'm using backtime to time music out and would go to where I want the song to end (maybe 5 seconds before the end of the music clip), hit Out, type in the number of seconds I want to go back (which corresponds to how much music I need to fit to the end of my timeline from my mark in on the timeline). Once the playhead jumps to that backtimed point on the source, I'd hit In.
But, on FCPX, since it seems to only want this to be where the Out line jumps to, after typing in the backtime amount I then need to hit Go to Out, then hit In, then go back to that point 5 seconds from the end of the clip and hit Out again. And also, if you do the backtime and the In line is closer to the Out than the amount you want to go back, the clip vanishes from the window. So, before even doing the backtime you have to move the In line far away from the Out. Am I missing something? (my new tagline I guess)

You're missing nothing as this doesn't work in FCP. I use the range tool and start from the end and drag to the beginning while FCP tells me live what my duration is that I'm selecting.
