Channel assignment/mixing in FCP X questions... was created by Srfr4Life
Hello FCP Community...
I'm submitting content to a new network who appears to be more strict about getting their technical requirements achieved by producers. I've only been submitting to broadcast for a year now and the first network was super relaxed about it.
This question/s is in regards to assigning audio tracks to various channels and how to do that in FCPX.
Channels:
CHANNEL 1 & 2 FULL STEREO MIX
CHANNEL 3 Narration
CHANNEL 4 SOT
CHANNEL 5 & 6 Stereo Music and Effect
I've recorded audio onto the camera's video file (via LAV) and then import into FCPX. I am using music tracks and I do add audio effects throughout.
How do I assign those properly in FCPX according to the config listed above?

You create those by using Roles. Google for 'Final Cut Roles' and plenty of videos to learn from. First one that popped up here
