Adding to a compound clip?? was created by ETdroneHome
I created a compound clip for a project. I double clicked it and added some image frames in the compound clip. When I closed it the additional frames pushed the end clip frames out of the bounding box and only the original length of the clip is displayed not those push out.n
When I reopen the CC the pushed out frames are greyed out and bounding lines with arrows identify the contents of the original compound clip. I can click drag the greyed out frames to be within the bounding boxes but the last frame gets pushed out.
It seems like I am doing something that a compound clip was not designed to do? I was hoping to simplify the project by using more compound clips as a work in progress feature.
Can I move the right bounding line to the left to expand the CC?
If I break apart the CC only the items within the bounding area are visible. The greyed out frames are not displayed I the TL so I can not create a new CC
Thanks in advance.

I'm not sure I understand all of your question but here is the basic of compound clips:
When you add something to a compound you have to adjust the length of that compound in your master project to accomodate for the longer length.
Expand the out of your compound in your master project and the new clips will appear. You will also see that when you open the compound again in its own timeline that the not greyed out content area entails all content (the special displays shows you which part of the compound is visible in your master project).

Thanks Carsten,
I did not realize that. I assumed that the "newly expanded" CC would "elbow" its way into the TL.

The original of a CC opened from the Browser will automatically ripple.
A copy of a CC inside of a Timeline do NOT automatically ripple.
Doesn't matter which one you edit in, thus, when working on a Timeline copy, always double-click it to open that Timeline copy, don't open the original from the Browser to edit, or it'll get confusing.
