GoPro 10 Aspect Ratio Problem???

I have a Hero 10 and have a problem in FCPX with 16:9 clips. My GoPro 10 settings are 5.3 60fps 1/120ss Wide. Resolution 5760 x 2880 Frame Rate 59.94. Couple things I don't understand;
1) Aspect ratio of 16:9 is cropped in the Viewer but, as I hover over it in the Browser, the aspect of 16:9 is correct. I'm sure it's due to being an odd frame rate.
2) I don't understand why the frame rate isn't showing up as 60? FCPX states that it needs to be set under Custom in which I did so but, no luck.
I'm on a new loaded MacBookPro M1 Max with FCPX being ver. 10.6.1. If you have any idea's what's going on, I'd sure appreciate it. Thanks, Ray

Open the clip in the QT player and look in the Info window. That’s what it is. A number of manufacturers say they’re shouting 60 when they’re shooting the only standard 59.94, which is unfortunately still a widely used frame rate.

Complain to the TV manufacturers and the FCC, both who claim the hardware from the station, to the transmission tower, to the TV sets, is too costly to update that quickly. I don't buy it, but that's the reality of it.

Got it!! It's actually 5312 x 2988 / 59.94 It actually looks correct at 16:9 in the Viewer. Now I have another question; Since I had to create a Custom Project and these GoPro clips are 5.3k / 59.94, how can I confirm what resolution my timeline is? Also, If I want to mix other clips from another camera that is 4k / 60fps in the same timeline, will they play good together? Normally, I would just create a 4k timeline but, in this situation I'm a little lost. Oh... OH That was two more questions 🤔🤔

Press ⌘ J to open project properties and confirm the settings are what you want.

You can mix frame resolutions and frame rates in FCP. 60 and 59.94 will be used as the same frame rate.

First, I thank all of you here for helping me out. Just to reiterate; FCPX does not have the resolution of 5.3k or 5312 x 2988 as a default preset therefore, it had to be changed under Custom for the Project timeline. Custom settings does show 59.94p. I typed in the proper resolution which did the trick. Unfortunately, tt doesn't appear that you can make a Custom setting as a personal default. Thanks again, I sincerely appreciate all your help. Happy New Year to all of you! 🥳👍 Ray
