"Recent Libraries" list broken/always empty in 10.6? was created by Struggling_Editor

Back in the old days (before Ver 10.6) when opening a library (File|Open Library) the box that opened listed several recent libraries to choose from.

Now, since 10.6 (and 10.6.1) the recent-list is always empty.. on BOTH my 2019 Intel iMac AND my brand-new (2 weeks) M1 iMac ...

Has anyone else noticed this and/or have a fix/work-around?

No, I haven't seen that. If I hold the Option key when I launch the application I get the dialog to select a library. It's populated with recent libraries. The only time it resets is if the preferences are trashed. Perhaps the preferences aren't being saved properly;y when the application closes.
