timeline jump around bug

Hi all,

Anyone else had the issue where when they press ctrl+v to show/hide video animation tools their timeline just jumps to a random point sometimes even beyond where there's any content?

I'm on 10.6.1 but I know for sure this has been an issue for me past few versions and only now deciding to ask on whether there's a fix? It's such a disruption to flow

**UPDATE**

Unwanted jumping now happening when I drop stuff into the timeline using the "w" shortcut and even when I use the shortcut to add a basic title. Crazy frustrating!!!

**UPDATE** Found another thread with the same issue. Bug fix unknown but possible manual solution provided...
