Can you provide a little more context for exactly what you're trying to do? There is a 'Swing' transition that comes with FCP. Might that work for you?

The Swing transition applied to a title? Need to make it a compound clip so it doesn't also swing the underlying video.

I ended up re-creating each frame of the "swing" effect as a separate .png image - that was the only way I could match it exactly.
