.CRM files not showing up when trying to import into FCPX project

Using FCPX 10.4.7 on MAC OS 10.15.7 and trying to import supplied .CRM files but they are not showing up in FCPX import window. I downloaded the CANON Cinema RAW Light software but got a "installer has detected Apple Software installed on this computer that is not compatible with the Canon RAW" error.

The files do show up in Adobe Premiere but I want to use FCPX.

Any ideas?

You are right. I have FCP 10.6 on MacOS 12 Monterey and even though I hav installed the Canon Raw Cinema Plugin - .CRM files won't open in FCP.
They do open in Premiere.

Canon should hav updated this by now.

Further to my reply about FCP 10.6 and macOS 12. and Canon .CRM files from the R5 - I noticed that the Canon Plugin on the Canon Website is actually a Plugin for AVID not FCP.

Did you download the latest Canon RAW playback utility?

I just realized I only downloaded the lastest Canon Raw Development software. Now after downloading the right plugin it's working.
