Global Summit what a terrible experience?

Global Summit what a terrible experience? was created by VidGreg
I’m finding the interface and user experience of attempting to view the FCP GLobal Summit absolutely terrible and convoluted. Not able to even watch on iPhone. So many bad apps required. No easy install instructions. Google Chrome recommended, really? Constant sign-ins. Really bad web designs all over the place. No audio for me. Huge push to upgrade to VIP for $149. I’m so disappointed. Was looking forward to this event. Just not viewable for me.
Anyone else having problems? What is your experience?
Thanks Greg

I watched it all just fine with Safari. But their overall web site design is pretty bad. Like the last session tonight, "not live" and I couldn't watch it. What? What does it mean that a session is not live? WTF? Why list something I have no link to join?

Guess I should give some more BG on my current situation. Road tripped across country to help my daughter with a house she is buying in rural Vermont. Only DSL here and slow but it has been used for remote classroom for educator and school administrator. I find it slow and unreliable so I'm using iOS 14.7.1 on iPhone7+ over Sprint LTE. I have no problems streaming on YouTube, AppleTV, Hulu, etc…
But the Summit, lots of problems.
Most of these problems seem to come from very poor backend coding and resource wasteful apps. After hours of attempting to navigate the required registration and app installs, their "Home" page keeps looping and creating new tabs in both Mail and Safari. No clean UI to select and join sessions, Navigation and site design is just bad IMHO.
When I finally managed to "Join Live Stream" I had no audio. Nothing I did could make it work. I'm limited in troubleshooting due to iOS, but refreshing, quitting and relaunching all required apps, nothing works. After hours of on and off attempts, I left the Summit and watched some video on AppleTV. No problems with any other streaming service.
Very disappointed and I sent a email and someone did respond. Said sorry and implied it was user error and that it was a live event and I just needed to click "Join Live Event" and life would be rosy. They have offered a free complimentary VIP so I can watch later which is nice, but if I can't resolve this, I'll miss Apple's presentation.
Personally, I think the organizers should at least offer an alternative link and streaming on YouTube to avoid these problems. It's not like many of the presenters haven't figured this out for their own streams and both Apple and OWC as sponsors could provide needed tech support.
Sorry for the rant, but was really looking forward to watching or at least listening to the Summit as I continue to work on this house; (and my truck, different story, more woes).
Anyone using iOS and have some insights to making it work?
Thanks everyone, enjoy the Summit if you can.
Greg

Greg, I believe you. There are folks complaining (just a small few) in the comments box of sessions about audio not being there, or video not being there. Yes, it is a poorly implemented backend, a horrible front end. I got run in circles repeatedly trying to figure it all out, and I'm a retired IT engineer. But it's the same old beginners and YT stuff, just done by different people this year. If you've been using FCP more than 6 months, not sure what the point it. No feature film help, no broadcast TV help, it's all geared towards YT content providers (as the presenters are all YT content providers, also). So, yeah, I guess that solidifies that Apple has FCP aimed at the YT content provider market.

To be fair the first day was for beginners.
Agreed though, the interface is a bit clumsy and I was expecting an 'opening video' to kick it all off.
