Help to understand my FCPX crash report please? was created by marconoe
Hello!
I'm looking through forums trying to understand why my FCPX keeps crashing... I've followed all the standard advice so far:
1. Delete preferences
2. Re-install FCPX
3. Clean install my mac
4. Sacrifice baby goat
Unfortunately I still have a library that is crashing. I can reproduce it fairly consistently too. I think it happens when I'm editing in my timeline and start to use command +/- to zoom in/out of my timeline
Can someone please help me with where I should be looking in the attached crash report to understand more? Looks like
might be important?
System info:
macOS Monterey v12.0.1
MacBook Pro (15" 2017)
Processor 2.9 GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i7
Memory 16GB 2133 MHz LPDDR3
Startup disk Macintosh HD
Graphics Radeon Pro 560 4GB
Thank-you!
Marco

I also have a repeatable crash when I zoom out of the timeline that began with 10.6 ...I dont think it is something you are going to be able to fix yourself.

Looking at the crash report this certainly looks like a bug. Please send Apple a copy and report it. Would be interesting to see if this is universal for all models of computers or specific to certain ones. If others experience this type of crash, please post with specs on computer and OS. Thanks greg

Hi,
I have the exact same issue with my new MacBook Air M1 16Go with MacOs 11.5.1 and FNC 10.6.1.
Did you finally find a solution?
Best regards.
