return to previous effects folder

Hey Guys,

Just a little quirk that is bothering me that i can't figure out.. I've created some effects presets that i am using a lot within a project however if i jump in to the transitions panel and then back to my effects panel, it returns to a completely different effects folder location, even though i've set my preset as the default effect.. it's annoying because i have to scroll from one end of the folder list to the other and it's just a bit of a pain.. how can i set FCPX to return to the previously used effects folder?

It would appear that no one else experiences this frustrating anomaly or there isn't an easy solution... I've updated my computer to Monterey and FCPX 10.6 (possibly a mistake because now things are running incredibly sluggish) and it didn't change the effects folder behaviour as described above.. so i'm a bit stumped!

You can't do it, FCP just randomly does that, we've no control over it. We've no Favorites folder for this stuff, after 10 years, either.

Yah, i knew we couldn’t do Favorites specifically although what i have set up is essentially a Favorites folder, just wish i could set it as a default… the weird thing is, one of my Coremelt plugin folders is the one that it returns to by default which just seems very random… you’d expect it to return to the top folder, why Coremelt of all folders? 🤷🏻

Can't tell you that, just how it works. I really miss "Themes" from the old days. I used that function all the time, really slows me down not having it.
