On a particular project I prefer to use 100% drop shadow on all titles, however, each time I am directed to go to the drop shadow box and increase from 70% to 100%. Is there a method to have 100% as standard drop shade at all times?

In the titles browser, right-click the template you want to use, select Open A Copy In Motion.
Set it up as you want in Motion, then Save As.
Done.

OR
Set it up as you want in FCP's timeline pane, copy, then just paste where you want to use it.

When I learned you can do this sort of thing in Motion, it blew my mind. I have made customized versions of nearly all my frequently used titles and effects (through adjustment layers).

Motion's integration with FCP is incredible.
