Hi there. I'm just editing a basic before and after video of some vfx work and wanted to use FCPXs hold frame function for this. But it always holds the frame before the last frame so my wipe to the after part doesn't match. AND it always put's the very last frame as a segment behind the hold frame...
I know there is the freeze frame function but I just want to be flexible.

Is there any way to fiddle this right?

I'm testing it and not seeing that. Is the footage the same frame rate as the project timeline?

I actually solved this issue!

When adding a hold segment to the last frame of your timeline clip you have to click on the divider BEFORE the hold segment and click on edit. Then drag the divider all the way to the right. Last frame is now an accurate hold segment.
