How to go from a new Library to an old Library? was created by bradywurtz

So I've got a late 2013 iMac that I do my main editing on. But I've also got a Mid 2010 MacBook Pro that I like to take on the go. But my issue is that FCPX doesn't update any higher than 10.4.6 on my MacBook Pro, where as my iMac is at 10.5.4

So if I wanted to take it on the go, I can't. Is there any work around for this? Even if there are some limitations here and there?

Unfortunately not as your MacBook is too old to run newer MacOS and therefor newer FCP. You have to upgrade your MacBook (maybe by one 2nd hand that can run what you need) as you can’t downgrade a Library once it’s on a newer version number.
