Proxy Media deleted but still in Library? was created by Fendrix
Hi everyone,
I have just deleted all generated clip files via the menu. I have relaunched FCP and now my proxy media files are no longer connected, however these proxy files are still taking up space inside my Library.
How can I safely get rid of these proxy files without messing any of my edits?
what happens if I chose transcode media / proxy files? would those proxy files just reconnect, create new proxy files and delete previous proxy files or just overwrite those proxy files with newly generated files?
Many Thanks

I’m assuming you deleted the generated library files and not an Event files. I sounds like the proxy files were stored inside the library bundle. Can you post a screenshot of what you’re seeing inside the bundle?

Thanks Tom!
exactly, the proxy files were generated inside the library. I eventually selected all clips in the library and did "delete generated clips" again, that did the job. Before I was inside an event that contained projects but no clips.
