I have a super annoying issue with Final Cut 10.4.8 on my MacBook Pro 16 running Catalina 10.15.6 which is driving me mad.
Basically whenever I export a video with a preset which includes AAC audio (so Video and Audio H264 for example) the audio renders slightly out of sync, being 1/2 frames early. No need to say that the audio sample rate and video frame rate match the project settings perfectly (48 kHz).
Even importing a video and just rendering it causes the audio to shift.
The weirdest thing is that I have the exact same version of FCP on another MacBook running Mojave and the issue doesn't occur there.
I found just a couple of threads about this but everyone mentions Big Sur, so I guess it's a more widespread problem.
Could Pro Video Formats update be the issue? Since it's literally the only difference between my 2 machines.
