Can Final Cut finally read Sony's 24 bit audio?

I know that months ago, FCP couldn't read the 24 bit audio files that were coming through the K3M due to the mp4 Sony wrapper and that Sony execs said it was simply a matter of NLE's updating their software. Does anyone know if FCP is able to do this yet? I've scoured online forms etc and found no update. I'm Debating buying a K3M and would just like to confirm one way or the other. Thanks
