FCP, Screen Sharing and Sound

Hi All,

I have FCP (10.5.4) installed on a M1 Mini (11.5.2). I am attempting a screen share with my MBA (11.5.2). While the screen sharing works, the audio portion continues to play on Mac mini and not on the MBA.

I need both the video and the sound on the MBA. How do I resolved this?

Are you using iMessage to initiate the screen sharing? That will also pass audio but it seems like it's the FCP Mac's mic picking up what's coming out its speakers. At the beginning of the pandemic I sort of got it working with Soundflower but the latency over the internet made it unusable for all but the simplest of tasks. I gave up. Maybe its replacement, Blackhole, might work better. Post back if you get it working.

Not using iMessage.  I am on my MBA and initiating screen sharing through Finder to talk to Mac mini that is has FCP open.
