hi,
im editing a short movie in which i played a lot with the Transform tool. now that im done adjusting all the clips, i want to add Letterbox to all of them in a homogeneous way, but when i used the built in Letterbox on FCP it applies it in a way only suitable for the original size, without the transformation...
how can i resolve this?

Replied by VTC on topic using letterbox effect on a cropped clip HELP!
Not sure what problem you're facing as I've never used the FCP letterbox effect but this may be helpful to others even if it's worthless for your situation.
Solution 1 - For a similar effect I'll create an Adjustment Layer, place on top, crop to taste, then extend duration to cover the timeline. Easily disabled.
Solution 2 - Create a PNG image mask file, place over clips, adjust duration.
An example of PNGs I created for oft used situations.
